About Me
Portland, OR based Hailey Footer, has been fascinated by beauty and art from a young age. She began her career in illustration and graphic artistry in 2012. During her college years, she experimented with acrylics and quickly found herself delving into a myriad of different mediums. Hailey discovered a love for digital illustration when she bought her first iPad Pro. She finds inspiration in bold colors, the sylvan city she calls home, and nature’s many secrets.
Artist in Residence Programs for Elementary Schools
I love bringing creativity into classrooms through Artist in Residence programs that give students the chance to explore art in a fun, meaningful way.
My residencies are hands-on, engaging, and designed to meet kids where they are. I create projects that connect to what students are already learning—whether it’s science, storytelling, or exploring the natural world—while encouraging them to express their own ideas through painting and illustration.
I’ve worked with kindergarteners through fifth graders, and I know how to make art approachable for every age. Each program can be tailored to fit your school’s needs, from single-day workshops to multi-week residencies that build toward a collaborative final project the whole school community can celebrate.
If your school in the Portland metro area is looking for a warm, creative partner to spark imagination and inspire young artists, I’d love to connect.
